Baby Moon Milk Bath is a perfect gentle cleanser for daily use during bathtime. Organic Oats, Organic Cultured (Probiotic) Milk, Organic Chamomile & Lavender Flowers. Soothing and wonderful for bodies big and small!
Directions: Add 1-2 spoonfuls to baby’s bath or yours. We like to fill a muslin bag with Milk Bath and float it in the water to avoid any tub residue from the powdered flowers. You can then use it as gentle wash sack. Supervise babies in water at all times.
A little History and Science:
Oats, Avena sativa, have long been hailed as healers. Oat polysaccharides become gooey in water and leave a fine protective film on the skin. Saponins gently remove dirt and oil. Oat proteins and fats maintain the skin’s natural barrier function and moisture. Cleopatra was partial to Milk Baths, and with good reason. Milk is full of healthy fats and vitamins which moisturize skin. Lactic acid in milk is mildly exfoliating. Probiotics assist in neutralizing destructive bacteria. Chamomile, Matricaria chamomilla, & Lavender, Lavandula, flowers are traditionally used for soothing and calming the body’s nervous system.
Recipes for Milk Baths:
Egyptian: Add 1/2 cup honey and a few scoops of Milk Bath to running water.
Magnesium: Mix 1 cup Epsom salt with 1/2 cup Milk Bath. Add to bath.
Fresh Rose: Add the petals or one or two roses to your Milk Bath.
Super Creamy: Add 1 cup of organic cream to enrich your Milk Bath.
Super Probiotic: Add 1 cup of whole plain yogurt to enrich your Milk Bath.
Coconut: Add 1 cup of coconut milk to your Milk Bath for additional soothing.
