Cow Fart Herbal Remedies

Our Cow Fart Herbal Remedies are based on a traditional herbal medicine blending technique that has been passed through Brooklyn Herborium co-founder Emma’s family over countless generations. These products can be used alongside any of our Supportive Skincare Regimens when the skin is in need of extra care. 


Cow Fart Herbal Treatments

Cow Fart Juice is our original herbal remedy. It can serve many functions in your skincare regimen.

  • Apply one drop two times daily on individual spots of wounded skin as it is healing in order to create an environment that is optimal for rebuilding tissue.
  • For skin that has many irritations and breakouts, Cow Fart Juice can replace your nightly cleanser. Apply 8-10 drops to the skin and massage it in with your fingertips. Remove with a steamy birdseye washcloth. Rinse out the washcloth and repeat the process.
  • For large areas of irritated skin, the best use of Cow Fart Juice is not to use it undiluted, but instead to make a Moisture Duo using 3 Drops of Cow Fart Juice and 5 Pumps of Cow Fart Activator sprayed directly into the Cow Fart Juice before applying it to the skin. For chronic conditions, we find it helpful over time to use more Cow Fart Activator in the ratio than Cow Fart Juice, so please be mindful not to keep increasing the Cow Fart Juice–even if it feels really good!

Cow Fart Activator is a specialized Mineral Mist formulated with specific minerals that the body can take in transdermally that are known to improve how cells communicate with one another. 

  • In addition to using it as described above, Cow Fart Activator can be used directly on the skin to bring immediate relief or spray onto the skin before applying a moisturizer. Note, that if you are low in magnesium, there is a chance that you may feel a tingle as the magnesium in the product connects with the magnesium in your nerve cells! This will continue until a closer match of magnesium levels is achieved. 

Cow Fart Goo is a potent herbal salve that can be used over skin discomforts due to fungal, microbial, bacterial, and pH imbalances, including athlete’s foot, ringworm, and cold sores. It can be used to soften dry, cracked skin in need of deep nourishment.  Clean the area before application and then cover (if possible) with a cotton sock, glove, or wrap. If there is broken skin, use Cow Fart Juice instead.


Cow Fart Clay is our most powerful herbal and clay amalgam that we formulated especially for chronically irritated skin. 

  • As a mask:  If your skin has blackheads and clogged pores (congestion), it is helpful to apply Cow Fart Juice, then spread the mask (1 tsp clay mask and 1 tsp hot water)  evenly on the skin. If you have stagnation (hot spots and dermatitis), do not use any product underneath the mask. Keep on for up to 20 minutes. Press a damp cloth into the mask to help loosen it before removing it. 
  • Follow with a few pumps of Cow Fart Activator for accelerated healing.
  • You can also use it as a spot treatment on inflamed areas (equal amounts of dry product and hot water) or add this product to our regular clay masks by replacing 1 tsp of your usual clay with one tsp Cow Fart Clay.

Cow Fart Double Helper gives a double boost of the botanicals that make Cow Fart Juice so effective on skin that needs healing. This potent formulation is usually intended to be diluted into other products before use. Uses: Add 5-6 pumps of Cow Fart Activator to 2 drops of Cow Fart Double Helper and apply to areas of chronically irritated skin. Use one drop directly on wounds, spots, or compromised skin that may have microbial activity. Replace one drop of your facial oil with one drop of Cow Fart Double Helper and use as usual. Add two drops to your current moisturizer to give it some herbal goodness before applying it to your skin. Add three drops to your bath to increase the water’s healing properties.


Cow Fart Skincare: Lotions and & Creams

Cow Fart Cleansing Lotion is a gentle, yet effective facial cleanser for when you are experiencing hot spots, dermatitis, or inflamed pimples on the skin. Simply Apply 2-3 pumps at night on top of makeup or dry skin and gently massage with your fingertips before removing the product with a steamy hot washcloth. Follow this cleansing routine with liberally misting the face with a Mineral Mist or Cow Fart Activator to incease transdermal mineral absorption while allowing the skin to breathe and perform metabolic functions overnight.


Cow Fart Facial Lotion absorbs quickly into the skin, providing relief and moisture to compromised or sensitive areas of the face and body. It is meant to be used on the face; however many of our clients will also use it on the body, hands, and feet to soothe and comfort chapped, irritable skin there.


Cow Fart Cream is a rich emollient protective moisturizer for use on rough, raw, skin. It is suitable for sensitive and reactive skin types throughout the seasons, whether they be wet or dry, hot or cold. Appy it alone, or layer it over Cow Fart Activator mixed with Cow Fart Juice for added protection when the weather turns harsh.




Cow Fart Bath & Body

Cow Fart Wash is a great “everyday” cleanser that can be used anywhere on the body. If you have sensitive hands, you may want to keep some by your sink for when you wash your hands. Do the folds and crevices in your body get irritated? Wash with Cow Fart Wash in your shower instead of a typical shower gel. As with any cleanser, we recommend using wet washcloths to remove all traces of any type of cleanser before getting out of the bath or shower.


Cow Fart Cleanser is useful for when a simple wash isn’t enough. This formula bubbles without having to use a foaming pump and rinses away with warm water. It can be used to cleanse the hair and scalp (note that we don’t recommend using cleansers on the head on a daily basis) and makes a perfect soothing bubble bath for those who may be sensitive to other types of products that create bubbles.


Cow Fart Bath Salts are designed to improve overall well-being through transdermal mineral absorption and botanical aromatherapy.

  • Run a bath of hot water. Add two tablespoons for an adult (1 tablespoon for a child) in a regular-size bathtub. For babies under two, please use Baby Moon Milk Bath. Relax for 10-15 minutes. A foot bath is a lovely way to reap many of the same benefits.
  • Enjoying a salt bath 2-3 times a week has been shown to increase overall vitality and health. If you are unwell in any way (autoimmune disease, diabetes, etc), you may want to speak with your doctor to see if it is appropriate for you. Water that is too hot is damaging to the skin even if it does not actually burn you! Bathing water above 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39 degrees Celsius) can cause physiological effects that could compromise an adult person’s health. The ideal temperature for a baby’s bath water or for the elderly is between 96.8 to 100.4 Fahrenheit (36 degrees Celsius).
